Little A is the Big 3!!

I still occasionally refer to little a as my baby. I guess the time has come to officially stop doing that. Our little sweetheart is now 3 (however when you ask her she says she is now 5, she wants to be the same as her brother). She is such a small fry but she is so smart and so feisty.  I always think of the Shakespeare quote with her “Though she be but little, she is fierce.”

She talks so intelligently about things and asks questions (never ending, 100’s a day questions) about everything. She wants to know about everything, why it is, what happens next. Her brother asks some questions but takes lots of things at face value. Not little a, she wants the “who, what, when, where, why, how” of everything.

She is completely brave and fearless. She will climb the highest tree, speed down the street on her bike, dive headfirst in the pool, nothing stands in her way. We never have to coax her into trying things, it’s quite the opposite, we have to try and keep her safe from going too fast, too high.

This has been such an amazing year watching our little girl grow into being a “big girl”. Can’t wait to see what amazing adventures this year will bring…

Here are some pic's from her 3 year old photo shoot at FotoFly, AMAZING pictures as aways!!!

SNOW much fun!

It has been relatively warm here. Compared to the frigid temperatures the rest of the country is having it has been down right balmy. We have had some good snow storms the last couple of weeks, giving us wonderful snow to play in. Here is a glimpse at some of the fun we've been having.

Big A said "Hey let's name him frosty!" Not very original....

Easy Peasy DIY Photo Magnets

I Love the idea of Photo Magnets. Having your favorite pics on the fridge without having them swoop out from behind a magnet. I however do not like the idea of paying $5+ for a 2" x 4" magnet from the photo places. I often get emails for "free" magnets that turn out still being over $4 for shipping and handling... No Way!

I decided to try my hand at creating some and found out that you can EASILY (seriously it IS easy!!!) make these yourself for...(drum roll)...free!

To start off you need to collect any advertising magnets you come across. One place you can easily find a few is attached to your phonebook. When my office got new phonebooks this fall I asked if anyone minded if I filched all the magnets, no one minded, SCORE! 20+ magnets. Now that you are thinking about them you will find that they are all over the place. I have found them at restaurants, the vets office, our cable company office. All over. SO when you happen upon some, grab a few for later use. You can buy sheets of magnet at the craft store but its is really pricey and really with all the freebies out there you don't need to.

Now that you have your magnets all you need is some glossy pictures, adhesive (double sided tape, sticker maker, tape runner etc) and scissors.

First Gather your photos and advertizing magnets

Next cut your magnet and photos to the same size.
(I like to do different shapes, Here I did 2" round ones with a large punch I have.)

Next apply adhesive to your photos.
(I used the Xyron creat-a-sticker, but you could use double sided tape,
a tape runner, or even a strong glue stick)

Next Carefully line up your photo to the pre-cut magnet and stick them together

Ta Da! Truely Free Photo Magnets!!

I like to make little bundles for the grandparents for holidays.
Fast easy presents that they love and can actually can use.

My sentiments exactly...

After a nice hiatus from work for our awesome Disneyland adventure (I will post all about it as soon as my Disney photo pass CD arrives!) it was time get get ourselves into gear and go to work. This means our whole clan has to get up early. This is what happened after I woke up big a...

Big a: "Sweetie girl time to get up." and kisses her cheeks
Little a: "Hmmmm NO bruder I'm too tired!"
Big a: "but we have to get up and get dressed."
Little a: " No bruder I'm just going back to sleep!" and she turns over and snuggles back in.
Big a: huge smile - "That is a brilliant idea!" and snuggles in around her.

** little a calls big a "Bruder" or brother for those who don't speak toddler.

Lets Get Started

So I’m starting a blog. I’m not so sure about this whole thing but it seems like everyone is doing it. I guess I’m still a sucker for peer pressure J
I’m Jenn, a Mom of 2 little kiddo’s both To Keep their anonymity I’m going to just call them by their initials, just in case they read this one day they wont hate their Mom for telling the internet world all about their lives. Little Girl “A” is 3 Months old and her Brother Big boy “A” is just 3 years old. I have such awesome adventures with those 2 , hence the name of the blog. I also have a furry “son” named Sundance who is a 7 year old cream tabby, He is a sweetheart. I don’t think he’ll be too mad if I use his real name.
My Husband Jeff and I just celebrated 10 Years. 10 Years have gone by in a blink but so much has happened too. Life’s funny that way.
I am an avid crafter, coupon-er and would be baker. I work part time and try and keep my house cleaning at a decent level, some weeks are definitely more decent than others. I love movies and books, getting immersed in a fictional story.
I have all these crazy ideas running around in my head of so many things I want to do, things I want to create but my time seems to slip by so fast anymore that many of them just need to stay up there (or on my pinterest boards!) for the time being.

I’ll try and keep this updated with fun crafts, good deals, occasional good meal ideas and fun tales of my Adventures with A and A.
